Troubleshooting the Subwoofer Control App

Created: Jul 17 2018 | Updated: Aug 24 2018

Multiple subwoofers all have same name in the Control App or ARC (app or computer software)

  • Unplug all subwoofers. Plug the subs in one at a time and use the Subwoofer Control App to rename to each sub. Once you've given each subwoofer a custom name, plug them all back in.
  • Use the Subwoofer Control App's tone sweep feature to generate a tone in each sub and rename each sub accordingly.

Control App not discovering subwoofer

  • Make sure sub's Setting Control is set to "App"
  • Make sure nothing is connected to the sub's USB Input.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on  your phone/tablet.
  • Make sure another Bluetooth device is not connected to your phone/tablet (turn airplane mode on and off)
  • Make sure another device running the Subwoofer Control App isn't connected to the subwoofer.
  • Make sure ARC Mobile is not connected to the sub on your current device or any other devices (completely close the app so that it is not running, even in the background).
  • Completely restart your phone/tablet.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Subwoofer Control app on your phone/tablet.
  • Try installing and using the Subwoofer Control app on another device (iOS or Android) to see if it works correctly on another device.
  • Unplug the subwoofer for 20 minutes and plug it back in. This will cause any connected devices to lose their connection.
  • Use ARC (for computer) to check for any available firmware updates and install if necessary.
  • If the problem persists, please contact customer service.

Custom passcode not working

  • Use the code "0133" to bypass a custom passcode.
