Was macht die Motion-Serie so erstaunlich? Das engagierte Inhouse-Entwicklungsteam von MartinLogan begann mit der Verwendung und Verbesserung der fortschrittlichsten, kompaktesten Technologien und kombinierte sie mit innovativer Technik. Das Ergebnis ist ein emotional ansprechender Sound, der herkömmlichen Lautsprechern ähnlicher Größe und ihres gleichen Preises Konkurrenz macht (und dies meistens auch tut).
Die typischen Folded Motion-Hochtöner verwenden Membranen mit extrem geringer Masse, die Luft "auspressen" und deutlich weniger Auslenkung erfordern als der typische 1-Zoll-Kalottenhochtöner, der Verzerrungen drastisch minimiert und eine blitzschnelle Reaktionszeit bietet. Die vergrößerte Oberfläche bietet auch eine breite, jedoch kontrollierte Schallverteilung, um ein realistisches und sorgfältig geätztes Klangbild zu erzeugen.
Der Folded Motion XT- Hochtöner mit geringer Verzerrung verfügt über eine Abstrahlfläche, die 40% größer ist als die der preisgekrönten Motion®-Serie. Dieser beträchtliche Größensprung erhöht die Bandbreite und Effizienz des Hochleistungs-Hochtöners für mühelose Leistung.

"The MartinLogan Motion 35XT succeeds in ticking pretty much every box on the small-speaker wish list: easy to drive and easy to live with, but can really grow with your system, a sound that is detailed and open but also genuinely solid and musically convincing, and a speaker that is entertaining and informative at the same time. The perfect alternative for the high-end music lover looking for a second system or stand-in, it’s also the hair-shirt audiophile’s starter speaker par excellence – except that it might just embarrass the speakers in more than a few big, high-end systems and lacks the basic appearance so important for budget–esoteric credibility. Let’s face it, speakers this pretty (and this affordable) really shouldn’t sound this good, be this engaging, or this much fun. Like lightning striking twice in the same place, it upsets the natural scheme of things"

"With the 35XT, MartinLogan has managed to upscale its Motion Series bookshelf speaker offerings. The new speakers play impressively loud and sound clean, with excellent detail, clear mids, and good dynamics. Imaging is about as good as I’ve experienced from bookshelf speakers, and I’ve heard some good ones in my time… its performance made me want to keep listening to music late into the night, which is what good hi-fi is all about — and it’s very much HRAC Approved."

After hearing these compared to the multiple assortment at the Magnolia Room, this was my "come back to sound" selection, over a wide assortment of music selections, multiple visits and even bringing my own cd music. And there was some tough competition in the Magnolia Room with KEF, Martin Logan, Bowers & Wilkins & Definitive Tech. I had the salesman really work for this sale, but he was patient with the hand signals 1 thru 4 for the variety of speakers. The 35XT makes listening to music enjoyable all over again without requiring much space. My ears really enjoy the sound that comes from this set of speakers. The connections are with the bi-amp on a Pioneer SC-77 receiver. Great Job Martin Logan! Kevin F Pyle
