Review: MartinLogan Crescendo Wireless Speaker

"The Crescendo is a very appealing product... And those who are serous about audio will love the neutrality and overall sound quality of the Crescendo... Definitely a way swankier take on the usual wireless speaker. And it looks really cool, too. "

MartinLogan Crescendo Wireless Speaker System Review

"The Crescendo sure is one superb performing, sexy audio system. You’ll be hard-pressed to get better performance in such a sleek-looking package... Setup is a breeze and it’s tightly integrated in with Apple’s ecosystem. It has input and integration options galore that you simply won’t find in other solutions. Add a wired or wireless subwoofer to the Crescendo and you have an unbelievable full range setup for music and home theater. In fact, when paired with a quality sub, like MartinLogan’s own Dynamo models, you’ll be hard-pressed to find any better sounding all-in-one system... the Crescendo is a superb effort by MartinLogan and deserves an audition if you’re in the market for a wireless speaker system. MartinLogan Crescendo Premium Wireless Speaker System Reviewed

"...the Crescendo would look right at home in Don Draper's office, with its gorgeous piano gloss or walnut veneer cabinet and its striking mix of curves and angles...The toed-out Folded Motion tweeters go a long way toward creating a wide, spacious sound from such a relatively compact enclosure...I'm going to seriously pout when I have to ship it back to the manufacturer."

Hands down best wireless speaker in its class
This is a great product. Bought it from Crutchfield. First impressions: build quality is outstanding, very stylish and well packed. Remote is of very high quality as well. Hook up was very simple, although instruction booklet was not that helpful. Sound: I was blown away by the quality of the tweeters, really transparent and natural sounding for such a small and cheap speaker. It will outclass B&W and Bang&Olufsen by a mile. Midbass was more of what you would expect from a small speaker, although the single midbass driver seems as a clever solution. Tried different sources, by far the best was the ipod directly connected to the equipment via USB and using lossless files. The wireless Airplay or bluetooth seems to lower the quality. Bottom line: hands down the best small wireless speaker I've heard.
