The powerful EM-C2 center channel provides a detailed, articulate, and authoritative center channel audio presence. Sized similar to a traditional audio/video receiver the EM-C2 is designed to fit discreetly within any standard audio-video cabinet. The EM-C2's perfectly balanced dual 5.25-inch high-excursion, doped fiber-cone woofers are seamlessly blended with the Folded Motion XT tweeter with a high-precision, advanced topology audiophile-grade crossover network. The EM-C2 is rated at 94dB.

Folded Motion XT  Tweeter

MartinLogan's larger, low distortion Folded Motion XTtweeter boasts a radiating surface 40% larger than those found in the award-winning Motion® Series products. This substantial leap in size increases the bandwidth and efficiency of the high-performance tweeter for effortless center channel performance.

Angled Profile

The EM-C2 is sized perfectly to fit inside of any standard audio-video cabinet, but no matter where you place it, you'll get sound directed up toward your ears, thanks to a dense wedge-shaped enclosure. Mount it high and flip the cabinet upside down to aim sound down into the room.

"Effects emerge from every part of the room, making it nigh-on impossible to tell where one speaker ends and another begins. This coherence is key to its success – the EM-C2, EM-FX2s and Dynamo all fuse tightly with no differences in tone, which is impressive considering how the electrostatic panels work in such a different way to the cones and Folded Motion tweeters used elsewhere."

Review: MartinLogan EM-ESL, EM-C2 and EM-FX2 Speakers

"I think the EM-ESL is one of the best bargains going in an audiophile music speaker. It gives audiophiles all the things most of us seem to want (huge soundstaging and a dramatic presentation) and all the things we should want but sometimes neglect (like neutral tonal balance and natural sound). If stereo music listening is your priority, I highly recommend these. And you can add the EM-C2, the EM-FX2 and the subwoofer of your choice for those occasional nights when you want to relax with a movie instead of digging deep into your music collection."

MartinLogan ElectroMotion 5.1 loudspeaker review

"...what really seals the deal is the way the system creates such a seamlessly enveloping sound, thanks to the EM-ESL’s dipole design and the EM-FX2’s wide dispersion. From my listening position it felt like there wasn’t a single area of the room left untouched by sound, flooding the no-man’s land between the front and rear speakers with precise, tangible effects. And when called for, sounds glide from speaker to speaker without you ever knowing where one ends and another begins. Stunning."

On Target - Dead Center
As the title states it is on target for what this speaker is intended for. To take the weight/bulk workload of my left/right ESL and handle all the dialogue. The C2 center channel works great and actually makes it seem like the sound is coming from the middle of my TV screen as opposed to where it is located. In my case it's located below and out front of the screen inside a cabinet drawer.
